Ghost Hunting!

What does one do in old Ballarat town when there is a full moon? Why go on a ghost tour of course!
I felt this layout needed something as little different so I focused on a steampunk style.

Kaisercraft paper,
Old book page,
Graphic 45 chipboard designs,
Crochet lace and twine,
Scrappers Garden flowers: candy flowers in various designs, carnations, wild lily.

I'm loving the black and white flowers here! They are from Scrappers Garden and are all handmade!

And here is another layout. I love the guide's costume! Very steampunk!

Vintage Fashions

This is my first post as a guest designer for Scrappers Gardens. Exciting!
The other ladies have done such spectacular work so I feel I have a lot to live up too.

I was playing around with a 50s style black lace petticoat I bought from Daylsford. It goes perfectly well with this dress I've had for a few years.

I used:
Kaisercraft paper
Crochet lace
Handmade flowers and butterfly's
Little Creative pink flowers
Scrappers Garden flowers: perfection, candy, bb flowers. I think I named them all correctly!

Card-o-mania!

Hello my lovelies!
I know I have been AWOL for a while- life has been busy! So this is just a short post with some cards I have made recently. As usual, lots of flowers.

This first one is for my Aunty and Uncle congratulating the new arrival of their second daughter.

The Old Woolen Mill

I live near an old woolen mill, which sadly has fallen into ruins. A new housing estate has been built around the ruins of the mill, but it does not really enhance it. I love takeing photos of the old crumbling buildings that are still standing.

The Setting Sun

It is half way through autumn now so the nice weather is slowly dissapearing. This may be one of the last stunning sunsets I saw as the sun sank into the ocean. Just look and the cloud formations and all the intense colours!

Baubles and Hearts

This is one of my favourite necklaces. I love the combination of the heart charm with the crystals and pearls. It is very simple to make. Here's how:

You will need;
Chain the length of what you want,
Clasp,
Head pins
Jump rings
Bead caps
Charms
Crystals and pearls.

Thread a bead cap and a bead onto a head pin. Cut off part of the pin leaving about 1.5cm. Use round nose pliers to make a loop. Make a few of these.

Tread the charms onto the jump rings. Then tread the whole lot onto the chain in what ever order until you are happy with the thickness.

Attach the clasp using jump rings. Tread another bead onto a head pin and attach next to clasp. This makes the back of the necklace look nice if you are wearing your hair up.

Here is another cameo necklace I made.

Shabby Chic Style

I have been a busy girl creating more cards for my Made It shop, SMMCreations. You can find these lovelys plus many more at www.madeit.com.au/SMMCreations .

The French shabby chic cards are my usual style with lots of butterfly's and flowers. The other bright ones are a little different. I love the purple and orange together.
