Half A Century

This month my Dad turns half a century old! As I’ve said before, I really struggle making masculine cards. So I decided to create something simple for his special day. I’ve used bright colours, fake stitching and a couple of birthday sentiments. And the finishing touch, twine! Perfect!

Vintage Birthday Delights

It’s my cousins Honor’s first birthday this month! So of course I have made her a very special card. It’s not really baby like, but I reckon it is one of the best cards I have ever made. The vintage colours, bright flower and calico ribbon go so well together. I actually pinched a hole in the top of the card to thread the ribbon through and tied the bow. That was much easier than trying to glue the heavy ribbon on the card front.

Ethereal Cards

To Have and to Hold

My Aunty Karina recently got married and she and my now Uncle Mick asked me to make the place cards for their wedding. It was such a privilege to do so, the finished result of the tables were stunning. The colour theme was blue and yellow.

O Christmas Tree...

This year is my first Christmas away from the nest, so now I have my own Christmas tree to decorate myself (though in the past years I ran a dictatorship with tree decorating, to my poor little brother's dismay)! I've chosen a brown/gold and pink theme this year.

I've also made these decorations using vintage Christmas images and old book pages, them contacted them so they will last.

Tis The Season To Get Crafty

I cannot believe that Christmas is less than a month away! Where has the year gone? I LOVE Christmas and the whole festive sprit. Though I must say that since moving to a small city that does not have a Myer, I really miss the Myer Christmas shop!

I have begun my Christmas craft with some festive bunting here using Kaisercrafts beautiful papers. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I really like the lace and ribbon on the flags too, the perfect finishing touch.

Happy 21st to my lovely sister Vanessa.
