Country Life

Ops it's been nearly a month between posts. Sorry!

Here are some photos I took at my grandparents farm during a visit. The little grass things you can see in the photo of the paddocks are the tiny little wheat crops. And the burnt out ute was the result of a fire that raged through during the 1970s when my Mum was young. I like the look of the burnt and rusty ute with nature taking over.

Lamb Stew

Lamb Stew

Is your mouth watering? It should be, this lamb stew is DEVINE! It took me a year to perfect too.

I browned diced lamp rump in a frying pan with olive oil and garlic.

Then I fried up some carrots, zucchini and mushrooms in the same pan after I took the lamb out.

I changed the lamb and vegetables over to a large heavy base sauce pan and made a gravy in the frying pan with the juices. This makes a lovely rich gravy.

Add gravy and some chopped tomatoes to sauce pan and simmer for a couple of hours. Check ever now and then to make sure there is still liquid.

Adding sultanas is a nice touch.

I serve over brown rice or pasta.

Yummy

A Little Birdie Told Me...

When my baby cousin Grace was born I was racking my brains thinking of something to create for her and send interstate. I was inspired by a fabric bird mobile in a Prima magazine. I used paper instead of fabric. I used the templates to cut out little birds in a few different patterns and added stitching detail around the edges. Then I threaded a selection of beads onto tiger tail and attached the birds along the length.

Of course I made another one for big sister Honor so she does not feel left out. Might have to make one for myself too!

Princess Highway

Going on from my previous post, Princess Highway is another of my favourite brands at Dangerfield. I love the classic designs, the skirts are very cute. I have got the first red dress in yellow. You may recognise it from last year when I did a post when I went to the Geelong Cup.

Danger in the Field

Yet another fashion post.

One of my favourite clothing shops is Dangerfield. They have a few different brands with a lot of vintage inspired and funky clothes. Sadly there is not one shop anywhere near where I live. Through that is a positive for my purse strings.

Here are some clothes from Revival. I love the vintage style with the funky patterns (really love the patterns on the second and third images). Oh I want them all!

Lets Play Dress-ups

Hello again my dear readers,

Following my last post on some beautiful dresses here are some favourites from an Australia brand called Review.
I love the classic design and patterns. A favourite is the tweed skirt with the purple/pink flecks. And the black and white checked skirt with the flowers is different and eye catching. It will make you stand out from the crowd.
They make for a very elegant lady. Review is one of my sister's favourite brands.

WIndow Shopping

Hello dear readers!

Some evenings when I have finished work/uni I like to do some online window shopping. Now I am pretty limited with clothing shops where I live so it is fun to look online. I thought I would create a blog post on a few select images of lovely dresses I want to add to my ‘wish list’. Yep, well the Word document is about 9 pages long full of images! So luck you dear reader, this means many fashion posts to come!

These images are some favourite dresses from an online clothing site called Boohoo.

Oh how I want them all….
