Beautiful Bright

Hello! I thought I would share with you some beautiful photos I took while on a family holiday in Bright during the first week of April. Bright is up in the high country of Victoria going towards the snowfields. It is early autumn and the trees are just starting to change colours. I love all the vibrant reds and browns mixed with greens.

The first photo is a view of Bright taken from a hill in the late morning. I love the blue mountains in the background.

The second is of the historic town of Beechworth. It still looks old, except for the cars! They have the best old fashion lolly shop there.

I'll put up more photos in the next few days.

My Graduation

For the past few days I have been scrapping my graduation photos. I decided on a black and gray theme so it looks formal, with light blue as that was the colour of my sash.

April Saturday Sketch

Here is my take on the Kaisercraft April Saturday Sketch 2 Baby Isabella.
I used the After 5 papers, doilies and other Kaisercraft embellishments.

Pretty Cup and Saucer

Yesterday I took a trip to Lilydale and did a bit of shopping. I come across this fabric shop full of beautiful quilting fabric. I have no idea what I'll do with this fabric, but I love it! I then had lunch at a place called Succulent which was a cafe and home emporium. It was so beautiful and relaxing. I purchased this beautiful spoon and tea cup. I did not realise that the cup matched the fabric until I got home!

Kaiser Craft Saturday Sketch

I have done two layouts using the Kaiser Craft Saturday Sketch from their blog.

Miracle 3 April Saturday Sketch
I used Chanteuse Soprano, Marcato and Staccato papers for both layouts and a Kaiser Craft crocket doillie on the first layout. There is old lace on the tag on the second one.

Mother's Day card

Here is a card I made for my Nanny for Mother's Day. She loves bright colours like orange and yellow, so this card will sit well in her kitchen. I used Kaiser Craft Empire papers and some fiber I had in my stash.

Mini canvas

Here is another project I did using the Empire papers. I covered a mini canvas that is about 10cm in length with the papers and added blue paper blooms. I love it!

Russian Dolls

I saw this project in a UK card mag called Quick Cards and just had to make it. I love Russian dolls and I have a small collection of them at home. The papers I used were Kaiser Craft Empire collection that I had sitting in my stash for awhile. I created the faces using water colour pencils and a black pen.

How cute are they?

Another Card...

I also love the Kaiser Craft Tea at Elises collection. I made this card using the 6" paper pad (perfect for cardmaking) along with Kaiser blue paper blooms and old book pages (the book was from an op shop). I am very into using old book pages in my craft, the add a beautiful vintage style.

Pocket card

I love the Kaiser Craft Gypsy Sisters collection. Here is a pocket card I made using the 6” paper pad. I love the idea of pockets on cards, they are perfect to write a person note to slip inside.

Ballarat Tram

I love these photos of my brother birthday last year in Ballarat. He loves trains and trams so to ride on a vintage tram just made his day!

I used the Kaiser Craft Everblooming collection for these two layouts.

Kaiser Cfrat Mix It Up Challenge

Here are two layouts for the April Kaiser Craft Mix It Up Challenge.

I used Kaiser Craft English Rose: Lillian and Pearl papers. I made the tags and punched flowers from the Pearl paper as well.

21st Card

I have a friend's 21st tonight and here is the card I made her using the Kaiser Craft Gypsies collections. This 21st is the last of many 21st's over the past twelve months I have been too *sob*.

More of my mini album...

Mini Album

Here is a cute mini album I recently created for part of my try out for the Kaiser Craft Design Team. I used the After Five Cufflinks paper, butterfly stamp, punched flowers using the paper and twisted some seed beads onto silver wire. Then I joined them together with a Kaiser album ring. I am quite pleased with the result!

Pretty Tins

I'm creating a collection of small paper covered boxes to sit on my dressing table. This was an old watch tin that I covered in Kaiser Craft Tea at Elise’s pattern papers. I made the flower on top using old book pages for a vintage feel.

Vintage Lady

I purchased a few old photo frames from a local op shop recently and painted them all white. I have decided to create vintage/shabby chic style colleges in them using purple and green to go with the colour scheme in my bedroom. Then I will hang them up grouped together on my bedroom wall. This one here is the first one I created.

I used pattern paper that I have had in my stash for awhile, along with ribbon, a beaded charm and the pretty lady was scanned from a vintage decoupage book called Scrapbook: Nostalgia at its Best! Published by Top Mill. Their decoupage books are so beautiful.

Wall Deco

I love all the pretty papers that are out at the moment, I just can not stop buying them!

The other day my Mum asked me to create something pretty to put up on the toilet door to brighten the room up. So this is what I came up with. I used strips of paper scraps to create a kind of patchwork effect. My Mum is always saying that if you stand still long enough I will decorate you!

Welcome!

Hello all,
I have finally decided to enter the blog world! I am very excited to share some of my creative projects with you. I hope you enjoy!
