Three posts in one day, I am on a roll!

I love to cover books and journals with paper and bits and bobs. Here is a journal that I recently covered. I never have kept a dairy, but I use them as a kind of memo book. This one started when I was preparing to move out of home to another city for work, and I was listing what I needed to pack.

I love lace and I find the best places to look for lace are op shops. You can pick up some beautiful lace for just a couple of dollars or less. The same goes for buttons and old books. As you would have realised I love using old book pages, especially to make flowers. It is very economical as you are recycling and it is good for the hip pocket too. That means more money left over to buy more papers. Not that I already have enough!

Cameo Charm

I am addicted to easel cards, once you get the hang of it they are easy to make. This beautiful card here is for a girl at work who recently became engaged. I wanted to do a heritage feel card with the Kaisercraft Madam Boutique papers, which I am in love with! I also love cameos, and I recently came across a set of cameo stamps. The bride and groom are perfect for this card, don't you think?

Happy Birthday to you...

Coming from a mostly female family, I find I really struggle to make a male birthday card. It's my Dad's birthday today and I put a lot of effort into his card, and I am quite proud of the result! i like the colour combination of orange and blue together, it feels kinda retro. This was my first attempt at this style of step card.

Hi all.

It's been well over a month since my last post. I have not meant for it to be that long, but I started a new job and moved to another large seaside town. But not to worry, I'm still settling in but there will be more post coming...stay tuned.

Hugs
