Something I really struggle with is creating masculine
layouts and cards. Coming from a practically all female family you can
understand why. When my brother was younger I would scrap the many photos of
him using bright and vibrant colours. But he is almost a teenager now and
bright is not really my style anymore. So I have found that now I create
vintage style layouts for the boys and men in my life. I use paper with word
print or maps on them, old book pages, buttons, twine and ticket stubs. I find
this vintage element really suits the masculine theme without looking too girly
like my other layouts. And since the majority of my layouts do hold a vintage
element, now they can all tie in together.
