Princess Highway

Going on from my previous post, Princess Highway is another of my favourite brands at Dangerfield. I love the classic designs, the skirts are very cute. I have got the first red dress in yellow. You may recognise it from last year when I did a post when I went to the Geelong Cup.

Danger in the Field

Yet another fashion post.

One of my favourite clothing shops is Dangerfield. They have a few different brands with a lot of vintage inspired and funky clothes. Sadly there is not one shop anywhere near where I live. Through that is a positive for my purse strings.

Here are some clothes from Revival. I love the vintage style with the funky patterns (really love the patterns on the second and third images). Oh I want them all!

Lets Play Dress-ups

Hello again my dear readers,

Following my last post on some beautiful dresses here are some favourites from an Australia brand called Review.
I love the classic design and patterns. A favourite is the tweed skirt with the purple/pink flecks. And the black and white checked skirt with the flowers is different and eye catching. It will make you stand out from the crowd.
They make for a very elegant lady. Review is one of my sister's favourite brands.

WIndow Shopping

Hello dear readers!

Some evenings when I have finished work/uni I like to do some online window shopping. Now I am pretty limited with clothing shops where I live so it is fun to look online. I thought I would create a blog post on a few select images of lovely dresses I want to add to my ‘wish list’. Yep, well the Word document is about 9 pages long full of images! So luck you dear reader, this means many fashion posts to come!

These images are some favourite dresses from an online clothing site called Boohoo.

Oh how I want them all….

Tartan Style

Yes, I have another new outfit. No, I have no more room left in my wardrobe. Oh dear!

So this lovely dress is a hip red and black tartan style. It actually feels like a wool blanket and is really warm. I team it with a skinny red or blue belt, tights, funky boots and my blue blazer.

The first time I wore this outfit was to the Boy and Bear concert so it has fond memories. What a night!

I love my new boots. I have these cute socks from Sportsgirl with lace around the top and they just peep out above my boots.

Here is a close up of my jewellery. The necklace is very long and I wear it with a knot tied in the middle. I made it simply by threading beads onto wire and creating loops at both ends then joining the whole thing together.

The bracelet was made by threading beads onto head pins and attaching them to chain to create a cluster of beads. It jingles when I move my wrist.

It's all in the details. My hair is in a messy bun using one of those bun donut thingys and pearl hair pins.

First Day of Big Peoples School!

I made a trip home to see my little brother start high school. Look at him all grown up!

Here is what I used:
Kaisercraft Timeless Classic paper
Blue pattern paper
Kaisercraft collie tables
Twine
Handmade flowers
Scrappers Garden flowers: starburst, candy script flowers.

Even though this layout features my brother and I wanted to make it masculine, I went for a more vintage feel so I could add flowers. I love the Scrappers Garden flowers, their range is wide and have styles to suit lots of themes. These starburst design flowers are a decent size and so full of layers.

Gothic Style

I've been playing around with my beads again. My latest creations have a kind of vintage gothic style. I've got my lovely cameos, some which you may notice are Skelton ladies! I'm using black silver, pearl and a bit of red. I rather like the effects.

And here are some more of my creations.

Ghost Hunting!

What does one do in old Ballarat town when there is a full moon? Why go on a ghost tour of course!
I felt this layout needed something as little different so I focused on a steampunk style.

Kaisercraft paper,
Old book page,
Graphic 45 chipboard designs,
Crochet lace and twine,
Scrappers Garden flowers: candy flowers in various designs, carnations, wild lily.

I'm loving the black and white flowers here! They are from Scrappers Garden and are all handmade!

And here is another layout. I love the guide's costume! Very steampunk!

Vintage Fashions

This is my first post as a guest designer for Scrappers Gardens. Exciting!
The other ladies have done such spectacular work so I feel I have a lot to live up too.

I was playing around with a 50s style black lace petticoat I bought from Daylsford. It goes perfectly well with this dress I've had for a few years.

I used:
Kaisercraft paper
Crochet lace
Handmade flowers and butterfly's
Little Creative pink flowers
Scrappers Garden flowers: perfection, candy, bb flowers. I think I named them all correctly!
